《FOX Business》 Journalist Eleanor Terrett said on the community platform X on Tuesday that three insiders told her that US President Donald Trump had chosen Brian Quintenz, the policy director of a16z crypto, the encryption department of Andreessen Horowitz, a venture capital company, as the chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
Prior to joining a16z, Quintenz served as a CFTC commissioner from 2017 to 2021.
As of the publication of this article, the White House has not yet issued an official statement. But Terrett stated that CFTC officials have confirmed this news. CFTC Acting Chair Caroline Pham stated in a statement:

During Brian's tenure as a member of the CFTC, I worked with him on important projects and achieved success under his leadership.
